The SSC CGL 2026 exam pattern is designed to test a candidate’s overall ability in reasoning, general awareness, mathematics, English, computer knowledge and post-specific subjects. Tier-I Important Details

Tier-II Paper-I Important Details
In Paper-I, Section-I contains Mathematics and Reasoning. Candidates will get 1 hour to complete this section. After that, Section-II will start automatically and candidates will get 40 minutes for English and 20 minutes for General Awareness. After Section-II, the Computer Knowledge Test will be conducted for 15 minutes. The Data Entry Speed Test will be conducted separately for 15 minutes.
The Computer Knowledge Test and Data Entry Speed Test are qualifying in nature. However, candidates must take them seriously because qualifying these sections is necessary for final selection. For some posts, higher qualifying standards may be fixed by SSC.
SSC CGL Tier-II Paper-II Exam Pattern
Paper-II is not for all candidates. It is only for candidates who are shortlisted for Junior Statistical Officer and Statistical Investigator Grade-II posts.
