• SC, ST, and PwDs candidates are exempted from paying the examination fee.
• The ₹500 fee will be refunded to candidates who appear in the examination, after verification of attendance records.
• The refund will be credited to the same bank account or payment method used during registration; candidates should use their own account.
• No refund will be given to candidates who do not appear for the examination.
• If the confirmation page is not generated after payment, the transaction will be cancelled and the amount will be refunded within 48 hours; a fresh payment will be required to complete the application.

• The examination will be conducted in objective (MCQ) format.

• The written test carries 100 marks with a total of 100 questions.

• Subjects included are Mathematics, General Studies, English, Odia, Computer Knowledge, and Logical Reasoning.

• The duration of the exam is 1 hour 30 minutes.

• Negative marking of 0.25 marks will be applied for each wrong answer, while no marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.

Subject-Wise Marks Distribution

Qualifying Marks & Extras
Minimum qualifying marks are 30% for SC, ST, PwD, Ex-Servicemen and Sportsperson categories, and 35% for other candidates. Candidates applying for Excise Constable can get bonus marks for NCC certificates (B = 1 mark, C = 2 marks). Candidates can choose up to three preferred districts for exam centres, but final allotment depends on availability.

Stage-II: Physical Test (PSM & PET)
Candidates shortlisted (about 3× the number of vacancies) will be called for Physical Standard Measurement (PSM) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Height, chest, and weight standards are fixed category-wise and gender-wise. Color blindness leads to disqualification. PET includes walking or running and long jump tasks depending on the post. Failing any physical test event results in disqualification.

Final Merit & Document Verification
After written and physical tests, merit lists are prepared step-by-step, followed by document verification and counselling. Final selection is made based on merit, candidate preference, and vacancy availability (post/district wise). The Commission may reschedule exams, conduct re-tests, or cancel recruitment at any stage if required.
