  • SC / ST / SEBC: Upper age relaxation of 5 years.
  • Women Candidates: 5 years relaxation for RI, ARI, VAW, JA, Amin & SFS; for ICDS Supervisor, relaxation applies only to Anganwadi Workers.
  • PwDs: Upper age relaxation of 10 years; SC/ST/SEBC PwDs get cumulative relaxation as per rules.
  • Ex-Servicemen & Experience Holders: Age relaxation as per norms; RI, ARI & Amin with settlement/consolidation experience get up to 5 years relaxation.

  • The examination fee is ₹500, as per the Odisha Recruitment Examination Fee & Refund Rules, 2025.
  • Candidates belonging to General, OBC/SEBC categories are required to pay the fee through online payment modes.
  • SC, ST, and Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) are exempted from paying any examination fee.
  • Applicants who appear in the examination will get a full refund of ₹500 to the same bank account or payment method used during application.
  • If the confirmation page is not generated, the transaction will be cancelled and the amount will be refunded within 48 hours; candidates must make payment again to complete the application.

  • The OSSSC CRE Recruitment 2026 selection process is conducted in two stages.
  • Stage-I is a Written Test of 100 marks, conducted in MCQ format through OMR/CBRE mode, based on High School level syllabus, with a total duration of 1 hour 30 minutes. The paper includes Mathematics, General Studies, English, Odia, Computer Knowledge, and Logical Reasoning. Negative marking of 0.25 marks is applicable for each wrong answer, while unattempted questions carry no penalty. The minimum qualifying marks are 30% for SC/ST/PwDs/Ex-Servicemen/Sportspersons and 35% for other candidates; VAW candidates with Diploma in Agriculture Polytechnic (OUAT) will get 5% extra marks.
  • Stage-II is a Practical Skill Test in Basic Computer Skills of 50 marks, conducted for 1 hour, which is qualifying in nature with a minimum requirement of 40% marks for all candidates. Candidates equal to at least three times the number of vacancies will be shortlisted for the skill test category-wise, based on merit. After that, merit lists are prepared at different stages, followed by document verification and counselling, where final allotment of post and district is done on the basis of merit, preference, and availability. The Commission reserves the right to reschedule tests or cancel the recruitment at any stage if required.
